Pick who approves
Jobber's owner and admins approve to start; send each person's requests to their own manager, and change who approves on Crew.
On Crew, each person has a Can approve switch. When you connect Jobber, the account owner and admins are switched on. Turn it on for a foreman, or off for an admin who shouldn't approve.
What an approver needs
- A mobile number: that's where requests open. Someone with no number can't be sent requests.
- To be switched on (On (can ask for time off)).
Requests warns you when nobody can approve yet.
Each person's manager
On Crew, Requests go to sends one person's requests to their own manager, the way a manager approves in an HR app. When you tick more than one approver while setting up, Crews Out asks who each person goes to, with the owner to start. Picking someone who doesn't approve yet lets them approve.
Leave it as Everyone who approves and the person gets a Send to button for each approver and picks one.
If their manager can't take it (switched off, or no mobile number), their requests go to everyone who approves instead.
Any approver can still answer
Any approver can answer any request, as backup when a manager is away, and the first answer counts. Approvers see what's waiting under Waiting for you on their own page.
Their own time off
Nobody approves their own time off unless they're the only approver. An approver who asks for time off sends it to another approver.
The office
The office, signed in, can approve anything on Requests, without Can approve. See Add someone to the office.
