How your crew asks for time off

They tap the days on a calendar, pick what it's for, and send it to an approver from their own WhatsApp.

In Crews Out, under Ask for time off:

  1. Which days? Tap the day on the calendar. For more than one day, tap the first day, then the last. Tap a day again to start over. Days they already have off or asked for are marked, and so are company holidays, which never count.
  2. How long? For one day: All day, or part of it. On a company that counts days that's Half a day; on one that counts hours it's Part of the day and the hours, like 4.
  3. What for? Tap one: Vacation, Sick, Personal, Unpaid, or your own types. Each shows what's left on it, and once the days are picked the form says what they'd have left after this one.
  4. Note, if they want one. It goes in the message, for example "Dentist in the morning".
  5. Tap Ask. Crews Out shows the days and how many they'd have left.
  6. Tap Send to and the approver's name. Their own WhatsApp opens with "I'd like Friday off (Vacation, 1 day). Approve or deny here:" and the link. They press send.

Nothing is booked until it's approved. Dates are in your company's time zone. See Time zones and dates.

Sick today

Tap today. For a sick day someone forgot to ask for, they can go back a month on the calendar and tap it, up to 30 days back.

Already asked

If those days are already asked for or booked, it says so: "You already have Friday asked for or booked." Change the dates instead.

Next

What they see after, and on the rest of their page: What your crew sees. If the approver doesn't answer: If nobody answers a request.
